Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Velkin collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the website velkin.app and the Velkin app once you start using it.
Who we are
Velkin is operated by Roman Harmyder, a registered sole proprietor in Ashdod, Israel (the “controller” of your data under the GDPR). Contact for anything about your data: hello@velkin.app.
The website and the waitlist
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- your email address, to invite you when a place opens up;
- where you signed up and how you found us: which button you used, the website you came from (only its address, e.g. “instagram.com”) and the campaign tags of the link you followed, if any. We use this only to see which channels bring people to Velkin.
We send you one email when your invite is ready, plus rare service messages about it. No newsletters and no marketing lists unless you explicitly opt in later. The legal basis is your consent, given by submitting the form; you can withdraw it at any time by writing to us, and we will delete your entry.
The website sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks; it keeps such logs only for a short time.
The Velkin app
When you use the app, we process what is needed to provide the service:
- account data: your email and sign-in details;
- connected platforms: when you connect a channel (for example Instagram, Facebook, DeviantArt or Telegram), the access token that platform gives us and basic profile information such as the page or channel name. We use them only to publish what you tell us to publish and to show you the result;
- your content: the images, videos, logos and texts you upload, the versions we make from them and the captions you write or approve;
- usage data: what you publish where and when, and the cost of AI operations on your account.
The legal basis is the contract with you: without this data we can’t brand, caption and publish your posts. We never sell your data, never use your content to train AI models and never post anything you didn’t approve.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare: website hosting, waitlist storage, file storage and email forwarding;
- Amazon Web Services: the servers that run the app;
- AI providers (currently Groq): your image and the channel’s caption settings are sent to generate a caption; the provider does not keep them to train its models;
- the platforms you connect: they receive what you publish to them and handle it under their own privacy policies.
These providers may process data outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area; where required, the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- waitlist entries: until you join the app or ask us to delete them, and no longer than 2 years;
- app data: while your account is open. When you delete your account or disconnect a platform, we delete the related data and tokens within 30 days, except what we must keep by law (such as payment records).
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@velkin.app from the email address concerned; we answer within 30 days. If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Deleting your data
To delete your waitlist entry, your account, or the data we received from a connected platform (including Facebook and Instagram), email hello@velkin.app with the subject “Delete my data”. You can also remove Velkin’s access at any time in the platform’s own settings (for Facebook: Settings → Apps and websites).
Children
Velkin is not meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change matters for how we use your data, we will tell you by email before it applies.
